Bio

Bob Baer works as an academic professional staff member in the Southern Illinois University Carbondale Physics Department.  He is the Director of the Physics Department’s public astronomy observation program and co-chair o the Eclipse 2017 - 2024 Steering Committee.  He is a board member in the Astronomical Association of Southern Illinois, a member of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific, and the NASA SMD Science Activation community.
